Turnkey Solutions and Comprehensive Maintenance Services
Diesel Generators
As a diesel generator supplier, we are one of the most trusted partners in Finland. We represent some of the world’s largest diesel generator manufacturers and offer both standardized and customized turnkey solutions for indoor and outdoor installations. Additionally, we support the long lifecycle of diesel generators with comprehensive maintenance services.

Where Can Diesel Generators Be Used?
Diesel generators can be used as backup power sources for various types of buildings, including industrial facilities, hospitals, commercial properties, and data centers. They also serve as a primary power source for large events, peak shaving applications, and locations where access to the national power grid is unavailable.
A diesel generator is a reliable backup power solution for any site that requires uninterrupted operation of critical systems and processes, ensuring business continuity. It can safeguard industrial production processes, patient safety in healthcare, the reliability of essential water and energy infrastructure, and even food safety in logistics centers.
As society becomes increasingly electrified, the need for diesel generators continues to grow, especially in securing uninterrupted communication. Diesel generators play a critical role in ensuring the continuous operation of data centers and server rooms. They provide a stable power supply during outages and failures while also supporting peak load management.
Turnkey Diesel Generator Solutions
Procuring a diesel generator with us is easy. We can deliver diesel generators as a comprehensive backup power project when needed. In our turnkey solutions, we take care of the entire backup power system, including design, sizing, transportation, on-site hauling, installation, and commissioning. The solution also includes the necessary cooling ventilation, exhaust system, fuel system, and electrical automation for the diesel generator.
Rent a Diesel Generator for Temporary Use
You can rent a diesel generator of the required power through us for temporary use. kW-set’s high-quality rental diesel generators are used in demanding electrification projects, such as stadium concerts and sporting events. Additionally, our rental equipment supports power substation maintenance and load testing. Rental diesel generators are also a fast and reliable solution in case of equipment failures. Installation can be completed within the same day.
Manufacturer Support and Maintenance Programs for Diesel Generators
We represent some of the world’s largest diesel generator manufacturers, including Cummins and Himoinsa. Through us, you gain access to the latest technical expertise from these manufacturers, ensuring the longevity and reliability of your diesel generators. Manufacturers also provide training for our maintenance personnel. Additionally, you benefit from original spare parts and manufacturer-backed maintenance programs.
Standard Diesel Generators and Customized Solutions
We provide reliable standard generators as well as site-specific customized diesel generator solutions with auxiliary equipment. Our diesel generators offer power outputs of up to 3750 kVA, with operational modes including automatic, manual, and parallel with mains options. For generators requiring synchronization, we primarily use ComAp control panels.
A Wide Selection of Diesel Generators
kW-set’s diesel generator selection includes open skid, soundproofed (enclosed), containerized, and mobile backup power units. Our high-quality and cost-effective solutions include the installation of the diesel generator, ensuring it is fully operational within the agreed timeline.
Open skid diesel generators are ideal for indoor backup power rooms and offer the highest possible power capacity, up to 3750 kVA. An open skid diesel generator can also be installed in a 10-, 20-, 30-, or 40-foot container, which is designed and manufactured in Finland to withstand local conditions. Soundproofed (enclosed) diesel generators are installed outside the building or mounted on a mobile trailer.
In most cases, we recommend enclosed and containerized diesel generators, as they allow for nearly all installation work and testing to be completed before delivery. For outdoor installations, we can also optimize the generator’s technical details.
For indoor open skid solutions, factors such as the size of the backup power room, noise control requirements, exhaust pipe penetrations, and available hauling routes must be considered. We can take challenging hauling routes into account already during the diesel generator solution’s planning phase.
